Bill Alegria is the proud owner of "WEST SEATTLE GOLD" coffee company. West Seattle Gold's coffee is roasted from an arabica bean that is called selected because it is purchased directly from the farmer and not the cooperatives. Always remember that the very best coffee bean grows in the highest elevations.

This coffee is only roasted in very small batches from 12 LBS. to never more than 40 LBS. We use the HOT AIR METHOD of roasting and never the drum system where it can burn the coffee bean from a spark that can happen after the bean reaches the first crack stage and has turned brown. There is a little peal that comes off the bean that can sometimes create a spark that will in turn burn the bean as it is turning in the drum. In our HOT AIR SYSTEM if a spark should occur the spark would be directed to the after burner immediately because of the pressure of our HOT AIR SYSTEM.
