"Personal joy and expression offered through dance, each movement allows a dancer's sprit to concurrently move outside and deeply with in her body. She can feel the invigorating stretch and strain while transporting herself to another dimension through movement and animation. As an artist and athlete, I know the joy this brings the initial warm-up and stretch the learning of movements the satisfaction of peak performance the rewarding finish and the feeling you carry with you for the rest of the day." I think this artist says it best about the feeling of releasing, letting go and letting the music move you. As you dance your soul takes flight. I have loved to dance from a very young age. When I was a child I had a four post bed my mother would yell at me for swinging around the posts. I ended up cracking the two end post in half as I got older from swinging on them. I loved music and would dance alone in my room for hours. My mother was a single parent with two little girls working and going to school. At the time I would cry begging for dance lessons. I know it broke her heart that she couldn't give them to me. Now that I'm older I realize that she was the best mother she could be and I couldn't ask for a better mother. I started dancing a month after my 18th birthday and took my show on the road with a guy I met. We bought a RV and traveled the country he sold area rugs on the side of the road and I danced. My mother was so mad because she raised me to be a good little Christian girl not to be a "stripper". I'm not a stripper I'm an artist. Dancing is one of the oldest arts for women, so beautiful full of expression. Now six years later I still love getting on stage and dancing my heart away. My mother has seen pictures of shows that I have done and now is so proud of me and my expression through dance. Dancing comes from within, passion for something is better than any lesson you could ever have. "It is never too late to be what you could have been." I just finished school to be a yoga instructor. This has only helped me with dance, understanding my body and giving me balance inside and out. Pole dancing is liberating, being a woman in control. Pole dancing has helped me see the world. I have lived in Japan, Hawaii, worked in Paris and every major city in the USA. Women are so captivating in there individual movement, like a thumb print no one is the same, thats what makes it beautiful. God has truly blessed me. I love to show people my art let them take what they want and make it their own. Amy Breann Facklam
