In ''Business Travel Safety Training: Domestic Travel,'' you will learn how to make travel preparations, including researching your destination and then making appropriate travel arrangements. In this training program, you will also learn how to increase your safety during air and ground transportation and at destinations, such as hotels, restaurants, and business events.

Unit 1: Preparing to Travel (0.5 - 1 hour)
Identify aspects of your travel location that you should research before departing on your trip.
Identify who is responsible for making travel arrangements.
Identify information that should be included in an itinerary.
Identify who you should contact before traveling.
Identify the documents you should bring on your business trip.
Identify the type of clothing you should pack for your business trip.
Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you are a Sales Manager at Icon International. Walter Jenkins, a new Account Executive in your department, is preparing for his first out-of-town sales call. Walter is a recent college graduate, and this will be his first trip as an Icon employee. As his manager, it is your responsibility to make sure that Walter is prepared for his trip and comfortable with the situation that he will be in. This is an informal discussion, and your role will be to answer Walter's questions and address his concerns.
Unit 2: Safety During Transportation (0.5 - 1.5 hours)
Identify ways to promote your safety during air travel.
Identify ways to ensure your safety when traveling on a subway.
Identify ways to ensure your safety when traveling on foot.
Identify measures you can take if you are being followed on foot.
Identify guidelines you can utilize if you are being followed in your rental car.
Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you are a Compliance Officer at Icon International. Recently, Icon has adopted a new travel insurance program for business travelers. In order for the policy to go into effect, Icon must educate its employees about travel safety. Your responsibility is to meet with those managers whose team members travel extensively for business purposes. Today, you are meeting with managers from sales, customer support, and marketing. This will be an informal discussion in which you will address air travel as well as ground transportation safety concerns. You should be prepared to answer questions from the managers, Jane Hendricks, John Jefferson, and Patricia Davis, and attempt to clarify any concerns they may have.
Unit 3: Safety at Destinations (1 - 1.5 hours)
Identify guidelines for making appropriate hotel accommodations.
Identify guidelines for ensuring that your hotel room is safe.
Identify measures you can take to ensure that business events are safe.
Identify factors to look for when researching business events.
Identify crimes that can occur in leisure locations.

Simulation Overview: In this simulation, you are a Sales Manager at Icon International. In order to comply with a new insurance policy, the managers from departments whose employees travel extensively for business are required to attend travel safety seminars. Today, you are meeting with Dean Kramer, a health and safety officer. He will ask you a series of questions designed to test your knowledge of travel safety, specifically hotel and event location safety. It's important that you have a full understanding of these subjects because you will be responsible for training your employees.
