 So, when I took my first Forex seminar in November, 2002, I realized that the freedom I sought was obtainable. There is an opportunity to earn substantial money in the Forex industry if you know what you are doing. To me it was a no-brainer; if I worked hard and practiced what my mentor showed me, along with patience, I could leave one career where others were in control of me and my future and become a part of the largest industry in the world where I was in control. I could work on my computer, with no need for inventory. I could set my own hours, as the market is open 24 hours per day, with no advertising needed and no phone calls to clients. This is fantastic! I can now travel, enter my trades on my laptop and spend the rest of the day playing golf and/or on the beach. Isn’t freedom great?
I now trade almost every day and I'm a very conservative trader and I minimize my risk. A trader must understand that RISK is a factor in every single trade - nothing is guaranteed. We try to minimize risk by replacing it with knowledge. I found it's kind of interesting when I realized that when someone knows a great deal about a subject, such as investing money, they tend to do very well, while others seem to know nothing, taking the advice of expert "friends" and do very badly. Why is that? They want success without a price. Winners are willing to do what they hate to create what they love.
I know the same thing is true with the Forex: those who arm themselves with knowledge do very well. Remember, about 90 percent of traders lose money in the Forex. In the Forex as in life, you must put something in to get something out. You will never obtain what you are unwilling to pursue.
You will never leave where you are until you decide where you would rather be. Acquiring the skills to trade the Forex can be a very laborious and expensive task without a mentor program for guidance.
